About Us
The University of Louisiana at Lafayette is a Carnegie R1 Research Institution and ranks in the top 12% of the nation for biomedical and medical research funding. In 2012, the NSFCenter for Visual and Decision Informatics, which focused on big data visualization, became Louisiana’s first NSF Industry-University Cooperative Research Center.
AHeAD is a proposed Industry University Research Center that will bring together interdisciplinary experts in various topics related to AI, ML, clinical and public health decision support, and implementation science.
